The nature of the content

Everything published on WebOps Desk is informational and explanatory. It describes how particular processes, procedures and concepts work, so that the reader understands the general framework and can put better questions to whoever is qualified to deal with their case.

What you will not find here

• Scanning, testing, monitoring or auditing of any system.
• Incident response, forensic analysis or remediation of a compromise.
• Development, sale or operation of security software or services.
• Certification, attestation or any statement that a system is secure.
• Recommendation of vendors, assessors or managed service providers.

Where to turn

For an active incident, whoever hosts or maintains the system, immediately. If personal data may have been exposed, the Dutch Data Protection Authority publishes the notification duties and deadlines, and qualified advice should be obtained the same day. For practical guidance, the National Cyber Security Centre. For a review of your system, a qualified assessor with access to it.

Nothing on this site constitutes an assessment, a test result or a statement about the security of any system, including your own. Following anything described here does not make a system secure and should not be represented to customers, insurers or regulators as if it did.
